Mommy’s Little Monster
Well the day has come, the little monster is going to daycare… the time has gone fast.
Out Like a Lion…
March came in like a lamb (as a snow storm) and now it is leaving like a lion with a random hail storm that caught us off guard today enjoying the nice weather. Either way the weekends are great with Owen as he is really interacting with us more and more… though as shown in these pictures, he was not in a happy mood knowing that mom goes back to work tomorrow – boo!
I went with him to REI today and we were talking back and forth and shaking our arms while going through the store. The laughs and smiles are so amazing, he is a funny little man and since he was so good, I bought him Curious George rides a bike . The chubby cheeks are loved by all who see him and I am sure we will start to lose the extra chins since he is holding his head up more and more each day, as shown in the video.
Soon enough he will be able to get in the backpack and watch me play in the dirt. Next weekend we shall see if we can find some trout – can’t wait for the summer trips and being able to sit in the creek.
Here is a message that the boy gave me this morning: “I miss you mom, good luck at work today, I will be thinking of you every 2-2.5 hours”- love Owen.
Let’s Go Flyers!
They beat the Sabres and we are all hoping the Flyers go long into the playoffs since the jersey Emily bought for Owen is already concerning us on its fit. It is 12-24 months and our main man Owen is comfortable in it at 11 weeks.
We shall see – go Flyers!
Cell Phone Pictures
Just some random cell phone pictures from yesterday, St. Patty’s Day. The weather is getting amazing out… can’t wait to show Owen the new jumps, ha! The smile on Owen is hard to explain, I guess it is only something a parent truly knows and it is amazing.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day
Happy St. Patrick’s Day from Owen. We kiss him everyday, but today we will kiss him a little more since he is asking for it!
Spring Chicken
33 – another year farther away from being a spring chicken, which is fine. I got to spend my birthday with Owen and Emily as we went to Sligo for a nice meal and some beer. Owen seemed to like the Irish music and I liked the cake they made me while I was at work today. Speaking of 33, Rolling rock’s 33 mystery has always been out there and I was hoping to get something in the mail today from them. Oh well, maybe next year.
Another sign that spring is near are the sights like these across PA that turn into scenes like these. Finding out that people are digging at Drexelbrook was an early birthday gift as I can ride my bike there in under 4 minutes… and the other trails are 10 minutes away by car, not a bad find on a Sunday ride.
Another sign of spring are the flowers… which Owen is already working on watering. The daisy is pasted into the photo via photoshop, but the pee is all boy! More photos later in the week from memom’s dual birthday party which I had to share with the blonde one.
Sprung
March 7th and it felt like May 7th with it almost reaching 70 degrees. Last weekend was a whole different story since the bear suit was needed while Owen was watching me building a bike in the man hole (garage). Fast forward one week and the weather is warm, even Em is wearing short sleeves.
We ventured to Ridley Creek State Park and decided to go for a nice walk and in doing so we managed to search for some fishing spots since Owen was telling me fish stories of how big some fish were in his dream. If you sleep and don’t see the rules posted, can you still fish the stream?
That gold fish in the one picture below is actually a palomino and you can spot them very easily – we came across five different ones during our hike. I wonder if they will wind up being eaten by the time I get to fish for them with my nephews – we shall see?
Speaking of the nephews, we made it out to Jack Frost to ski and ride in some nice spring like conditions this weekend. The soft snow made for some goods times and they had some fun jumps and rails that we got to play on. Too bad my camera did not have a working battery since Jason had pants with a broken zipper (due to David) and David forgot his snow pants to make things even worse, but all in all it worked out just fine.

I see you.
