Good bye June, hello summer…
Well it looks like I am just barely getting in one post this month… so now it is photo overload. The summer is a busy one and we are gearing up to head up north to Bucknbear and Tuckabuckaway – shared theme but one is based on deer and the other money. Big news is that Owen is now 18 months old today, June 30th.
Earlier in the month we got down to the shore but I did not get to take too many photos at the beach since I forgot my memory card, oh well. Owen is really not a fan of the beach, he would much rather play with a bucket of water.
Got to meet up with Brett and his family and caught a Phillies game, too bad it was super hot in section 303 – we had to duck into the bar to enjoy the air as no one wanted to stay and get burnt (much like the Phillies did that day by losing in extra innings).
Best part of the month was celebrating my second Father’s day and I enjoyed a wonderful time with Owen and Emily. Early morning breakfast at the diner, then a quick stop to play some hockey and run around the playground, then it was off to the woods to enjoy the dirt and peacefulness of the water on a hot day.
Summer and life is going by quick, there is always work to be done… time to sit back and relax and be thankful of all the good things we have around us.
Sound Machine - for some reason the conversion on this video to flash made it look like a Beastie Boys video, enjoy the babbling creek

Big Boy
Here is a quick update to show you how Owen is getting around these days. I need to catch up on the older pictures, there have been some bumps and bruises with the walking learning curve but Owen is getting steadier and faster as each day goes by. Looking forward to the spring weather but for now he enjoys just being outside and bundled up, just like me.
Owen is even mowing the lawn and he enjoys driving in his new car that Aunt Sara and Uncle Dave got him. As you can see in the hockey video, he is developing his personality and enjoys laughing and testing our limits of what we let him get away with.

Team Flannel
Hello – it has been a long, long time between updates and Owen has not stopped being cute and amazing, I just have been behind on posting pictures! This past weekend was perfect – sun, no wind and lots of leaves to play in. Granted we had to pick them up, but at least we got to enjoy them before they went to the recycle center.
As you can tell I dressed Owen up to ensure he knows the power of flannel!
Owen Goin’
It is amazing the changes that happen with each week and even day to day. Just a few days ago Owen could barely crawl, struggling, grunting, and log rolling to get to his next unexplored area. Now he is scooting around army style while working up a sweat and enjoying every minute of it.
He can even sit up with ease as I found out when I checked on him in his crib after a nap. Expecting to just see the back of his blonde head playing with his crib toy, I was unexpectedly (and happily) greeted with a toothy, devilish smile. What I found was a little boy sitting up in his crib just playing with his toys to pass the time.
15 minutes later we lowered the crib to try to stay one step ahead of the boy… we are trying. This weekend’s agenda will be an adventure in baby proofing, that is for sure. Enjoy the two videos below, the videos will need some time to load on slower internet connections.
Mini Man
Another little video of Owen not doing much, just being a normal 3 day old boy that looks like a mini man due to his jacked up shorts and scrunched up legs.
Here are some pictures that have been sent around and moving forward I should be posting new stuff every other day I guess… for the short term at least.
Beef Jerky
Well things are going quick, two weeks have passed and today Owen’s cord fell off – basically what amounts to what you would expect to find at the bottom of a beef jerky bag, not that mom knows about that. It truly is amazing to see how little his he was on his second day of life… granted he has not changed much, but we can already tell.
On a side note, I just ordered him some overalls so expect some shots of him in the flannel – his aunt Sal got him. He will be in the woods digging jumps in no time.

I see you.
